Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment

What is the function of the simultaneous translation equipment?

The simultaneous interpretation equipment is a closed transmission system that sends an FM signal (frequencies between 72 and 76 MHz) to an undefined number of personal receivers in the hands of the audience.

Each participant receives for his/her use during the conference, a small and light receiver with independent volume control to listen to the simultaneous interpretation while sitting freely in the area of his/her choice or moving around the room and adjacent areas up to 400 feet away from the transmitter (obstacle free transmission).

Audience using simultaneous interpretation equipmentInterpreters normally use headphones with independent volume control to listen to the speaker or the person using the microphone at any time (sometimes, and subject to the decision of our com- pany, our interpreters may work without headphones) and im- mediately interpret the message with the assistance of microphones or headsets.

The translation equipment is provided as a rental during your event and you must pay a specific amount for each unit required depending on the number of attendants to your event.

The translation equipment is available as table-top or portable (carry-on) units. Formal conferences and meetings will normally use the table-top equipment, while tours and field trips require the portable version.
